P is for Positive. Have a positive attitude. It will see you through. There is something positive to be found in everything. Don't discount something as negative, look at what you can do to change it around to make something a positive experience for you.

Don't look at this as not measuring up. Look at it as having a lot of room to grow.

P is for Progress not Perfection. We didn't get to where we are in today overnight. We don't heal and get better over night. We are human, we do make mistakes. It is a one day at a time program. Each day we are given an opportunity to perfect on what we have already learned. It is a program of practice, practice, practice.

P is for Prayer. It works. It may not be an instant fix, but it will give instant relief of stress and worry if you believe and have faith. I was told that God answer prayer three ways. 1) Yes. 2) No. 3) You got to be kidding!

Even if you don't know who you are praying to and don't have a complete understanding of God, remember He understands and knows you.

P is for Point. Don't point the finger at someone else, you have three coming back at you. It is pointless to play the blame game, in the long run, you are left with just you, and you are left with no one else to face, no matter what we we turn.

P is for Play. If you aren't enjoying recovery, what are you doing wrong. Don't take life so seriously. Take time out to give your inner child some play time. Allow yourself some pleasures in life that you missed out on as a result of your addiction.
