Quote: Lack of faith makes us turn to people, places and substances that only temporarily numb the pain in our lives. Faith turns us to God Who removes the pain and brings us total healing of mind, body and spirit. ~Obie Psalm 103:2-4 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Thank you for being my Savior. Amen. |

Quote: The only way we can be of use to God is to let Him take us through the crooks and crannies of our own characters. It is astounding how ignorant we are about ourselves! We do not know envy when we see it, or laziness, or pride. Jesus reveals to us all that this body has been harbouring before His grace began to work. How many of us have learned to look in with courage? My Utmost for His Highest Mark 4:34 When they were alone, He expounded all things to His disciples. Prayer: Lord Jesus, Thank you for gently and lovingly leading me through the labyrinth of my own self. You are showing me things of which I was never aware. Continue to lead me toward healing. You are the Potter. I am the clay. Amen. |

Quote: If my God will forever give me the light of His smile, and a glimpse of His blessing -- it is enough. Come on enemies, persecutors, demons, yes, the Devil himself, for "the Lord God is my sun and shield." Gather, you clouds, and surround me, I carry a Sun within me; blow, wind of the frozen north, I have a fire of living coal within me; yes, death, kill me, but I have another life -- a life in the light of God's countenance. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, saith the LORD. Prayer: Thank You Lord, for being my sun and shield, for being the living coal within me. Amen. |

Quote: I prayed for Faith, and I thought that some day Faith would come down and strike me like lightning. But Faith did not seem to come. I now opened my Bible, and began to study, and Faith has been growing ever since. ~ Dwight L Moody Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Quote: When God gets us alone by affliction, heartbreak, or temptation, by disappointment, sickness, or by thwarted affection, by a broken friendship, or by a new friendship - when He gets us absolutely alone, and we are dumbfounded, and cannot ask one question, then He begins to expound. Quote: Many of us have prayed that dangerous prayer, "Here I am Lord, change me, I want to do Your perfect Will Lord, no matter what the cost." The Lord looks down from Heaven with a smile on His face because He has such great plans for you. Then "suddenly" you find yourself right in the middle of His wheel. He begins to work with you, pushing here pulling there and pinching over there... It may be a bad temper, pride, a critical spirit, religious spirit, or any number of things. God gets your attention and makes you aware of it. This is no fun!!! God is exposing what needs to be taken care of. We can either stay on the wheel and allow God to continue or we can get in the flesh and eject ourselves from the wheel and run from God. ~ Jim Clark 1 Samuel 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things He hath done for you. Prayer: Father, Give me the courage and will to follow through when I pray, "Here I am Lord, change me." In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |

Quote: The Lord Himself is our vesture. Every Christian is not only a Christ bearer, but a Christ wearer. We are so to enter into Him by communion, to be so endued with His presence, and imbued with His Spirit that men shall see Him when they behold us, as they see our garments when they look upon our bodies. ~ A. J. Gordon Galatians. 3:27 As many of you as have been baptized in Christ have put on Christ. Prayer: Lord Jesus, May I be a Christ bearer and wearer. Endue me with Your presence and imbue me with Your Holy Spirit that I may shine forth as a bright light upon the hill to lead others to You. Amen. |

Quote: It's very interesting though isn't it, watching a child and their shoelaces? There seems to be a two-fold process. The first is learning to tie the shoes. The second is learning how to keep them tied. Learning to tie them is not enough, is it? Some children learn more quickly than others. Some children have to experience some significant falls before they embrace the importance of keeping those laces tied. ~ God's Thoughts Wired Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Prayer: Almighty God, You taught me to tie the shoelaces of my life. It is now my responsibility and obligation to You to keep them tied. May I be ever diligent, forgetting what lies behind and press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Amen. |

Quote: Though we can't go back and erase what we've already written, if we will be honest with God about the foolishness and regret in our heart, He can (and will) rewrite the text of our lives. Though the sins and mistakes of the past may still have consequences today, we can be assured that the God of the universe will somehow bring good out of even the worst pages of our past.~ Kathi Macias Psalm 18:24, The Message God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes Prayer: Father, Help me to learn from my past mistakes. Quote: Act or Process? Is it an act, or a gradual process, this "putting off the old man?" It is both. It is a resolve taken once for all, but carried out in detail day by day. From the first hour that the layer of separation begins to form in the leaf-stalk, the leaf’s fate is sealed: there is never a moment's reversal of the decision. Each day that follows is a steady carrying out of the plant purpose: "this old leaf shall die, and the new leaf shall live." So with your soul. ~ Lilias Trotter Romans 6:10-11 The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Prayer: Dear Father, After putting off the old self, I must put on the new self which is renewed in Christ Jesus day by day. Enable me to carry out this renewal and re- building through the help of my Savior. In Whose name I pray. Amen. |

He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; Prayer: My Lord, Help me to be that shining light upon the hill. Give me the courage to stand up for what is right and to speak up when others do or say inappropriate things. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. |

Quote: Intentionally look around for measures of joy each day. There is joy in simply being alive and in being redeemed by God. Remember, joy is a choice we make, not a feeling we hope to get from our circumstances. It's good to look for the good, to celebrate it even in small ways. Doing so is a moment of victory. ~ Chaplain Michael Clark Jeremiah 15:16 ESV Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts. Prayer: O Lord, Today I choose joy -- joy in Your holy presence; joy that I can come to you at any time day or night; joy that I am provided for; joy that I am protected and loved by You. Yes, there are challenges but You are my provision in all things. Amen. |

Quote: Let us always remember that a true Christian may have many blemishes, many defects, many infirmities -- and yet still be a true Christian. Quote: The "dead hand of your past" cannot have any abiding over the present or the future unless we ourselves play puppet master to a dead hand. By itself, your past is impotent and powerless unless you breathe false life back into it. ~ Martin Selbrede, Chalcedon Foundation Heb 12:1-2 ...let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, Prayer: Dear Father, I will no longer drag the past into today.
