Please pray for my son
 

Please pray for my son's emotional and spiritual health. After I checked in today he came and basically had an emotional break down--over school, depression, etc.--and he told me he had had "thoughts of death." I had to call him off school and spoke to his guidance counselor. I got him an appointment tomorrow afternoon with an adolescent psychologist. It breaks my heart to see him in pain. Please pray He will know God and His promises and that he will have hope and joy again. Pray that he won't be lonely. Pray for wisdom for this counselor.

We went to the counselor and she was so good. She talked to him and then to both of us. She had some very useful ideas and steps for him to take and ideas for him to work on. We also stepped back in some of his classes to reduce some stress. Thanks for the prayers. I think he is seeing the hope and best of all I hope he learns that asking for help when you need it is a good thing.

I will continue to pray for your son.

Thanks so much! It seems it was just too much pressure from school and too much pressure thinking he would have to go to college. Since stepping back the school schedule and knowing he has other options, he seems much relieved and happier already.
