Focus On God
 

FOCUS ON GOD

We don’t lose focus because things or people distract us. It is because we allow them to. We don’t lose focus on God because we are too busy or have too much on our minds. We lose focus because we are putting our focus on something else that is not God. When we focus on God despite what is going on around us, we will have peace. When we focus on God, He will give us the courage and strength to carry out His will no matter what else is going on. When we focus on God, He will give us the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.

Philippians 2:13 “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to put our focus on You. Help us today to direct our attention to You when other things or people want to distract us. When we get sidetracked with life. When we get bombarded with troubles. When our thinking begins to move to the things of the world and what trials we are having. Help us to focus completely on You and have the strength and courage to do Your will and not our own. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God will give us the focus we need to put on Him rather than the things of the world.

We can take our focus off of our worries and problems and put our focus on God when we give ourselves completely to Him.

God is all we need and all we need to focus on.

When we put our focus on God rather than the troubles in the world, He will give us peace and the desire to do what honors and pleases Him.

There is only one focus we need to have today. And that focus is God.

Philippians 3:13b “but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,” (NLT)

Focus today: Every time your mind wanders to worry, to do wrong, to think bad thoughts, re-focus your mind on God. Give Him your heart, mind and soul today.
