Acceptance

The worst thing about us being judgemental is we don't see how hard it is on us to be like that, and the damage we're causing to others. We recklessly and carelessly throw about our opinions about everything and everybody without any real concern for ourselves or anyone else. Righteously as if we know what's best for the world and everybody in it. Nothing could be further from the truth than this and not only that, being like this condemns us in an unjust way, making our own life unbearable. One of the first things we all learn about at the beginning of our recovery is acceptance. It is key to us being able to be freed from being judgemental. If we're just able to accept everything and everybody as they are, not as we wish them to be. We'll be on our way to learning how to be at peace with ourselves and everybody else in this world.
