Praise Him
 

PRAISE HIM

When we are discouraged, God wants us to cry out to Him. He wants us to praise Him. He wants us to remember He is our God, our Father and our Lord. We can talk to Him about anything. We should remember who He is and that He can help us out of our discouragement as we praise His name! When we praise Him we are to acknowledge who He truly is and what He has done. We should remember nothing is too hard for Him and put our trust in Him when we are discouraged.

SCRIPTURE: Psalm 43:5 “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God!” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List the things you get discouraged about.
2. Write down ways you can praise God.
3. Read God’s word and seek more ways to praise Him.
4. Take time each day to praise God even when we are discouraged.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, we know sometimes when we get discouraged, we forget about You. We take the focus off of You and dwell on ourselves and our problems. Remind us today to praise You. Remind us today to put the focus on You. We want to remember who You are all day long and praise You so we can put our discouragement aside and begin doing Your will. Help us today, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God wants us to praise Him rather than be discouraged.

We can praise God anytime, anywhere, anyway.

We should praise God for hearing our cries for mercy when we are discouraged.

Psalm 28:6 “Praise the LORD! For he has heard my cry for mercy.” (NLT)

God created the heavens and earth. He is powerful, strong and omniscient. He certainly deserves our praise in all things and at all times.

FOCUS:
Jeremiah 32:17 “O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” (NLT)

We should praise God when we are discouraged because of who He is, what He has done and what He is going to do.
