There Is Hope
 

THERE IS HOPE

Repenting is turning away from what we are doing and going the other direction. Forgiveness from God is when we are pardoned of our sins and released from the world’s bonds so we may live for Him. Repenting and seeking God’s forgiveness is a step to a new life. It’s a step to freedom. It’s a step to peace. But we first have to admit we have sinned, believe Jesus’ died for us and then confess our sins to God. That requires humility and desire to change. Once we do repent, God forgives and we can change. There is hope for a new life when we repent and seek forgiveness from God.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we humble ourselves to You. We seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways. We know we have sinned. We know we have done wrong. We come to You trusting in You knowing You will help us turn from what we have done wrong and You will forgive us. And we thank You, Lord. We look forward to a new life where we are able to resist temptations. We look forward to being cleansed by the blood of Jesus. We look forward to restoration and, again, we thank You for a better hope for tomorrow. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we admit we have sinned, we can go to God for forgiveness.

Repentance is turning from what we have done wrong and turning to God.

We are so blessed by God’s love and His forgiveness.

There is hope for a new life when we repent and seek forgiveness from God.

When we repent to God, we are forgiven and can start anew.

Luke 24:47b “There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.” (NLT)

Focus: God is able to forgive if we are willing to repent.
