Standing Firm - Praying in the Spirit - Day Thirty

Praying in the Spirit by SGLY Ministry

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:20 NKJV

Praying in the Spirit is powerful prayer. It is prayer that is led by the Holy Spirit and prayer that is in His power.
It is prayer that is prayed according to the will of God, for often our minds don’t know how to pray as we cannot discern the mind of God, but the Spirit knows what the will of God is according to our circumstances, and He can lead us in what and how to pray, and God, who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:27 NKJV.
Therefore, that is why Paul tells us as we are standing firm in covered in the Armor to Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. Ephesians 6:18 NLT.

Jacob Gregory, Christian Author said: “No human can pray without divine help.”

Therefore, it can be said that prayer with divine help is what praying in the Spirit is. We who have believed and received Jesus as our Savior have all been given the Holy Spirit. He resides in us as our Helper and Teacher. Jesus said in John 14:16 and John 14:26 “…I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—” , “…the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

The Holy Spirit’s power is also within us as Jesus told His disciples in Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Therefore, we all can pray in the Spirit anytime and anywhere and we should do so daily, just as we should wear the Armor daily.
Remember Paul said we should “pray without ceasing,” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for Your Armor, who is Your Son Jesus Christ that is my covering and protection daily against the evil forces of darkness that roam about seeking to bring destruction to my life and the lives of believers everywhere. Thank You also for the Holy Spirit who indwells me as a believer and helps me to know how to pray according to Your will. Thank You that I have all of this available to me daily because I chose to believe and receive Your Son’s sacrifice for my sins. I am deeply grateful and want to serve You as a good soldier by wearing the Armor daily, standing firm, and praying in the Spirit according to Your will. Amen.

Today: Wear the Armor. Stay Alert. Stand Firm. Pray in the Spirit.
