Gentleness Begins
 

GENTLENESS BEGINS

We are born as babies who are helpless and are still. We are given all we need within us which comes only from God. Part of what we have is gentleness. Gentleness comes only from God. God chose us to be holy. He loves us and wants us to cloth ourselves with gentleness. He wants us to cloth ourselves from the gentleness that comes from only Him. The Holy Spirit can produce gentleness in our lives when we are ready to submit completely to God.

Galatians 5:22-23 “ But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we come to You today to pray for gentleness. Help us to understand it. Help us to embrace it. Help us to know what actions to take and what words to say to embrace it. We thank You for the gentleness You give us and allow that gentleness to become a daily part of us so we can communicate to others about You. And we thank You, Lord, for Your gentleness and Your mercy on us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We have the choice to be gentle as God has called us to be or to be harsh and turn away from God.

When we chose gentleness over roughness, God will use us for great things.

Only God can give us the gentleness we need in all things.

Gentleness comes from God. When we go to Him and read His word, we will find the gentleness He desires for us.

When we pursue a godly life with gentleness, God’s will can be done through us.

1 Timothy 6:11b “Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.” (NLT)

Focus today: Ask God for a clean heart and spirit. Ask Him to reveal His gentleness to you.
