Money Can't Buy It
 

MONEY CAN'T BUY IT

We all like being happy. Some say laughter is the best medicine. However, we all know being happy all the time is just about non-existent in this world. We all have sorrows, difficulties and pity parties at times. Sometimes we don't even want to be happy. We know there is no amount of money that will truly make us happy yet we continue to search in this world for happiness. God tells us the true source of real joy and happiness. It is knowing Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior and having a right relationship with Him. Money can't buy that. It is a gift from God. By His grace we are saved.

SCRIPTURE:
John 16:33b "Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world." (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List some hard times you've had.
2. Write down what you did and how you handled them.
3. Know Jesus is all we need during hard times.
4. Trust in Him and know He is all you need.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we know we will have many hard times in life. You tell us so. However, we do also know we can have joy. We know we can rejoice. You bring us true joy when we choose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. You help us so much when we choose to have a right relationship with You. Remind us today, Lord, that money can't buy what You have for us. Help us to remind others as well. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
There is not enough money in this world to buy what God is willing to give us for free.

God's gift to us is free and there is nothing we need to do to earn it.

Jesus was sent to save us and to one day return to overcome this sinful world.

If we want to effectively deal with trials and sorrows, we need Jesus in our lives.

To be truly happy, we shouldn't focus on money but instead focus on God and His word.

FOCUS:
Luke 10:20b "rejoice because your names are registered in heaven." (NLT)

Just knowing our names are registered in heaven is enough reason to rejoice despite what is going on in our lives.
