DEPEND ON GOD’S GRACE

Despite what some want to believe, we don’t know everything. No one does. We may be an expert at some things. We may know more about one thing than another. But we don’t know everything. Because of that, we shouldn’t rely on our own wisdom to live in holiness and do what is right. We need God for that. We need God for everything. When we learn to depend on God’s grace and trust in Him with all our hearts, we can be holy.

2 Corinthians 1:12a “We can say with confidence and a clear conscience that we have lived with a God-given holiness and sincerity in all our dealings. We have depended on God’s grace, not on our own human wisdom.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we want to be holy. We know we can’t without You. We want to depend on Your grace, trust in You and stop relying on our own human wisdom to be holy. We want to trust in You with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. Today, we set aside time for You to meditate on Your word. Today, we put our focus on You all day long. Today, we ask You to live through us so we can be holy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we depend on God’s grace, He can help us be holy.

When we decide to live for God and not do what just feels good, we can begin to live a holy life.

It will be great one day to go to God with a clear conscious knowing we have lived the life He has called us to live.

When we learn to depend on God’s grace and trust in Him, we can be holy.

When we trust in the Lord with all our hearts, we can stop trying to figure out things for ourselves.

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” (NLT)

When we learn to depend on God’s grace and trust in Him, we can be holy.

I often think of recovery as me being very fragmented and my God made me whole. He put me back together and I am made whole by His Grace, Love, and Care.
