HOW WE WORK

Work, at times, can be very stressful. So many differences of opinion. So many different ideas. So many people who want to gossip about other coworkers. Stress in the workplace is all too common. Rather than being the center of the stress, we need to work at living in peace with others. We need to work at living a holy life. We should work in a way that proves we belong to God. It is possible when we put our trust and faith in Him.

Hebrews 12:14 "Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord." (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know work can be a very emotional place. We know working for a living means we have to encounter people who disagree with us. We know working for a living means we have to get along with those who are different than we are. Many times other people make work much harder than it needs to be. Help us to be the peacemakers at work. Help us to work at living a holy life. We need You in our worklife, Lord, to help us each day. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

When we focus on getting along with our coworkers and trust in God, He will help us.

God wants us to live in peace with everyone. That includes those we work with.

When we work for a living we have to deal with many things out of our control; however, God can help us stay calm and focused.

God wants us to live a holy life. That means at work as well at home.

God wants us to live in a way that proves we belong to Him. This should be reflected in our home life and work life.

"You should live in a way that proves you belong to the God who calls you into his kingdom and glory." 1 Thes. 2:12 (GW)

Focus: God can help us in our work life to keep the peace and live in a way that pleases Him.
