This Works Better

When all of us first arrive at recovery we are all our own worst enemy and none of us even know that we are. Sometimes we may have a fleeting hunch that we might be but we usually squash this right away. The process that we all begin and all go through, and will continue to live by that's found in recovery opens the door on this for all of us so we can see what each of us is doing that's causing us to be like this to ourselves. Although this may be different for all of us, it always stems from all of us doing the same thing that causes this. No matter how hard any of us tried, none of us could find a way of being positive about anything. Always we had to be negative about everything no matter what it was. We all do this and none of us can stop ourselves from doing this. Being in recovery will break us all free from doing this because it changes the belief system that's behind this that all of us have, that's making all of us our own worst enemy. It's always better for us to be positive about everything all the time. It's almost like we're all big magnets attracting whatever it is we believe. The first step to becoming positive is believing that life is good and is worth living, and we all owe it to ourselves to believe this. Even though it takes a lot of effort for us to begin to do this, it's no more effort than it took for all of us to be negative and the results will be completely opposite. All of us will end up becoming our own best friend after we all learn how to be positive, and this works better for all of us when we all learn how to do this all the time.
