Keeping God in full view by Alive to God

To stay in step with God we need to keep Him in full view. He needs to be the focus of our attention.

Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. (NIV)

God needs to become the object of our fascination. We need to be attentive to God. Watching Him closely for the slightest indication of what He wants us to do and where He wants us to move. As we follow God closely, we will begin to anticipate what He is going to do. To follow God more closely, that is my desire.

Psalm 119:31-32 I cling to your commands and follow them as closely as I can. Lord, don’t let me make a mess of things. If you will only help me to want your will, then I will follow your laws even more closely.

Galatians 5:25 If we are living now by the Holy Spirit’s power, let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. (Living Bible)
