Just For Today Day 7 Putting Off

Just For Today Day 7 Putting Off by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…GUILT
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1 NKJV

Today’s Thought:
As Believers we should put off all feelings of guilt, for scripture tells us there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
This means that we who have believed and received Christ are forgiven, set free from judgement, cleansed and made new.
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT)

Therefore, we believers should not be feeling guilty for our past as God has wiped all our sins away in Christ. He remembers our sin no more and neither should we.
Believers are new creations in Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit.
We “do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Therefore, the old is gone, the new has come. [ See-2Corinthians 5:17]
So, now when and if we do sin, we have the Holy Spirit who convicts us, Jesus who pleads for us, and God who forgives us.

Now in the present and in the future …if you do sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who pleases God completely. He is the sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 2:1-2 (NKJV)

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord Just for Today I will put off all Guilt, for Your word reminds me that in Christ I have no condemnation.
So, Just for Today, I will put off any guilty feelings I might have about the past.
And, in the present, or future, I will confess any sins and shortcomings that I might commit to You and I will then accept Your grace, mercy and forgiveness in Christ Jesus.
For You said “if we confess our sins, You will be faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [1 John 1:9 NKJV]
