Removing The Roadblocks
 

Once we're all in recovery the first thing we all need to do is begin to get right with our own Higher powers, one that works for each of us in our own understanding not by someone else's understanding but one of our own. This is new territory for all of us to be in, and to get there all of us will need to be removing the roadblocks that are keeping us from getting there. Trusting is the first thing we'll all need to start to learn how to do, we've all lost this by now, even for ourselves. In recovery we learn that we can begin by trusting that all is well, even though when all around us, we'll see things that are terrible that are still happening every day. We learn that we don't have to try to make sense out of this when it happens any more, just that it does, and that this is part of living in this life for everyone including ourselves. Some think that all this will make sense in whatever it is that happens next to all of us after our time here in this life is over. No one knows for sure, but what we do know is that when we see people who are deliberately doing terrible things to others that they are using their own free will to do these things, that all of us have, and we no longer are mistaking this for something that a Higher power is doing. It's because of all these terrible things, some that we're all capable of doing, this is what has caused all of us to lose sight of us needing to have a Higher power that works for us, but for all of us now that we're in recovery we all can have that back once again.
