Being Someone Else

All of us with this problem all want to be someone other than who we are, none of us up to this point have been able to accept who we are. As we continue fighting this, being who we are, things will always continue to get worse for all of us. We're not like other people, and as soon as we're able to accept this fact, then things will start to improve for all of us. This wanting to be like other people along with having this problem is where all of us have been hurt the most. None of us can ever be anyone other than who we are, and recovery can show all of us how we can begin to get right with ourselves and to make peace with ourselves, and to accept who we are, and be okay with that, even though it's not what any of us wanted to be. The best thing about being able to accept ourselves as we are is then we can begin to do something about this problem all of us have and the way we all are because of having it. Wishing or wanting to be someone else is never going to do that for any of us.
