Who do you run to when you are in trouble?

Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory. (NLT) Psalm 50:15

Who do you run to when you are in trouble? Perhaps your spouse, parents, or a good friend? The problem with these people is they are human and can't always rescue you or know what is best for you. God says he will rescue you... not maybe, not perhaps, but He WILL rescue you. How comforting it is to know God has your back. It's only fitting we respond with thankfulness and give God the honor He deserves. Are you in trouble? Then call on the Lord, He will be there.

This is where we disagree my friend. I believe these people where put into my path. So many times I have prayed and asked for help, and my God has put people, places and things into my life to show me how to lead a spiritual way of life in today.

Jesus showed us how to walk our talk, and He led the way to show us how to walk a spiritual life on this earth. Practising the principles of life allows me to walk in His Footsteps. I don't fit His shoes, but I can follow by His example.

As they say, "Prayer is for asking and Meditation is for listening." So many times we don't hear because of the internal chatter going around in our head.

What would Jesus do? He showed me the way, and I try to follow to the best of my ability. When I surrendered and asked my God into my AA, and they showed me how to live a spiritual life according to God's Will.

As far and I was taught, smoking, dancing, drinking were a sin and I walked in fear all of my life that I was going to be struck down by God's Wrath. In today sin is "Soul In Need," looking for something outside of myself to make me feel better instead of going within and connecting to God's Holy Spirit. I didn't want to face God. I didn't know I had a disease, just like cancer, diabetes, and other mental, emotional, and physical ills.

My disease is not curable, but it can be arrested, one day at a time, if I invite my God into my day, ask for help and give thanks at night.
