TEACH LOVE

Just about the best way to teach anyone is to show them and then allow them to do it themselves so they can better learn. When we tell them, they hear it but may not understand. When we show them, they see it and understand it a little more. However, when we allow them to do it they get the full experience and better learn, remember and understand. How can we help others by teaching them about love? Tell them and show them but most importantly allow them to experience it by loving them so they will know how it truly feels. God’s love for us can be experienced when we truly submit to Him and allow Him to love us. He wants to teach us love so we can share it with others.

SCRIPTURE: 1 Kings 8:23 “O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List those who are hard to love.
2. Write down how you share God’s love with others.
3. Ask God to share His love through you.
4. Look for opportunities to share His love today.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we thank You for Your unfailing love. There is no other love like Yours. You love us unconditionally. You love us completely. You love us enough to send Your only Son to die for us so we may live. There is no God like You. You keep Your promises. You want us all to love You and others. Show us how to share Your love with others so they may know Your love as well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God’s unfailing love is all we need.

When we allow God to love us, our lives will change.

God wants us to know He loves us unconditionally.

God sent His only Son to this earth to die for us so that we may be saved. That is real love.

We are to show others we love them in our actions and not just in our words.

FOCUS: 1 John 3:18 “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” (NLT)

When we show others we love them, they will see God’s love in us.
