WHAT OTHERS SAY

We shouldn't be influenced by what others say because everyone has a different opinion about something. Everyone's opinions are different because of their backgrounds and experiences. When we spend too much time worrying or dwelling on the opinions of others, we lose focus on God. Despite what others say or do to us, we can keep our focus on God. He is the one who comforts us, loves us and will always protect us. No one can give us what God can give.

SCRIPTURE:
Isaiah 51:12 "I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?" (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down who influences you with their words.
2. List reasons why or why not their way may or may not work.
3. Remember to go to God's word for the best direction.
4. Study His word and let His influence be our best direction.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help us to not be influenced by what others say. We know people sometimes speak out in anger. We know some speak out in envy. We know others speak out because they have low self-esteem. However they speak out we know they can sometimes hurt us with their words. Help us to remember not to be influenced by their negative words. Remind us, Lord, You are the one who comforts us and can give us peace no matter what others say to us. In Jesus' name.

REMEMBER:
No one can give us the love, protection and comfort God can give us.

We can be influenced to do wrong when we want to fit in with the crowd.

God can give us comfort when others choose to say wrong things to us.

Despite what others say, let's decide today not to be influenced by their words but only God's word.

God is always for us and that is why we should never worry about who is against us.

FOCUS:
Romans 8:31 "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?" (NLT)

No man (or woman) should ever influence by their wrong words. We should always keep our focus on God's word.
