Going Along For The Ride
 

We're going to find out so much about ourselves and the problem that we all have from being in recovery more than any of us would have ever found elsewhere. One thing that all of us are going to see is that we all have been abnormally fearful, of what ? None of us could be exactly sure of what that was, or why we've all been like this. Recovery unravels this mystery for all of us. It's because of what we've all been choosing to do about having this problem that doesn't work, and there is a part of us that knows that, and once we choose to ignore that part of us we set in motion a battle within ourselves. At this point we're all just going along for the ride, because we've lost our say in this matter by continuing to do what it is that is causing this to happen within us. Afraid, yes we were all afraid, because of this, and because no one can be really sure of what's going to happen to them next, and all of us had something inside of us that kept telling us it wasn't going to be good. Once we understand that we've all been doing this to ourselves, and that we can do something about all of this, that we can make this all go away. Recovery can show us how all of us can be free of all that fear. And after all of us have become free of this, we became very happy that we don't have to be like this any more, always having to be afraid.
