Just for Today I will put off all…EVIL
Repay no one evil for evil,
Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. Romans 12:17 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
All through scripture we are reminded to do good and not evil.
Certainly as believers we would never choose evil over good, yet sometimes the daily pressures of this world might cause us to lose our focus and get a bit off track as there are many evil influences all around us everyday.

We can be subjected to people of bad nature or those whose mode of thinking, feeling or acting is wrong or wicked.
Therefore, we need to constantly be on guard that we do not respond to the evil in a injurious or destructive way, and so bring trouble into our lives. Each day we should make a point to put off any traces of evil in our lives by always doing good.

For scripture says:
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”Romans 12:21 (NKJV)
“Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good.” John 1:11 (NKJV)
For “He who would love life And see good days,Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good;”
1 Peter 3:10-11 (NKJV)
“Do what is good and run from evil so that you may live!”
Amos 5:14 [NLT]

Let’s take these scriptures to heart! Let’s put off evil in any form, and turn EVIL around and LIVE by doing good everyday for God !

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, I certainly do not want evil in my life for the Dictionary defines Evil as: “anything morally bad or wrong or anything that causes harm or pain”.
So, Just for Today, Dear Lord, with Your help, I will put off all bad thoughts or wrong actions that might cause me or others harm or pain.
I will not repay anyone evil for evil but I will overcome evil with good.

Just for Today I will have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
Just For Today Lord, I want to do good and so imitate You.
