Default How Others Treat Us

HOW OTHERS TREAT US

There are so many times we don’t understand the actions of others. People do things where we feel they have betrayed us. People do things where we feel they have abandoned us. People do things where we feel they don’t care about us. When that happens, we need to be strong. It’s not a time to feel sorry for us. It’s not a time to seek revenge. Instead, it’s a time to go to God and pray for them, pray for the situation and pray for the right attitude toward them.

1 Corinthians 4:13 “We appeal gently when evil things are said about us. Yet we are treated like the world’s garbage, like everybody’s trash—right up to the present moment.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for Your consistency and Your friendship. We know others will let us down and do selfish things. But we know we have You who will also remain the same and be with us no matter what. Help us to be the right friend to others and to forgive those who treat us wrong. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When others act out and hurt us, our response should be love.

There will be times when someone does something selfish in life. Pray now for the right response for when they do.

Our reaction to others when they lash out at us shouldn’t be to show them up but instead it should be to show them love.

Not everyone understands how to treat others. But we can seek understanding from God on how to treat them.

We will be judged for our own actions. Not the actions of others.

Matthew 7:2 “For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.” (NLT)

Focus: Think before you react in the wrong way to those who treat you wrong.
