Default All Newcomers

We don't feel like we're very much part of recovery when we began to go to our first recovery meetings. It's almost like we're aliens in a strange new world. We often think what are these people talking about. It helps to understand that once we start our recovery we're now all on the same path, just at different spots along the way. We share where it is that we're at, and by doing so we help each other. What gives life to this path is newcomers. For without any newcomers the path will end, they are the ones that are going to keep this going. We're all a vital part of recovery and connected by this path. What helps us to realize this is that no matter where we are on that path we're all newcomers just at a different spot now. We'll always want to try to keep it green, by doing this we all be able to feel part of recovery.
