Just because all of us can't see that we have this problem doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Us wanting and needing proof that we have this problem is something all of us crave so we can be sure we're not making any mistakes about us having it. The proof that we have this problem is found in the way all of us have had to live before we got to recovery. It was in that way in which all of us were living because we either didn't know we had this problem, or we didn't know what we could do about having it. This way is what has been causing us and everyone around us all the misery. And even if we're able to see this, many of us will try to discount this as something else other than the result of us having this problem, because none of us want to see we that we have this problem and sometimes even those around us who also don't want us to have this problem will help us to do this. The only thing that ever comes out of us not seeing we have this problem is we become locked into getting one of the three things that are always going to happen to any of us who don't get recovery. Then we'll do more than just see that we have it, by then we'll know that we do. Unfortunately it will be too late for many of us to do anything about having this problem then.
