Default Just For Today Day 11 Putting Off

Just For Today Day 11 Putting Off by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…LAZINESS
So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought:
Just for Today let’s think about the brevity of life.

” For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.? James 4:14 (NKJV)

When we think upon how quickly the days pass and how short our lives might be, we see that laziness should not have a place in our life.
Each day we have breath we should put off all laziness and ask the Lord to give us wisdom and strength to do the work He has prepared for us to do for Him while we are here. We should be bearing fruit for Him daily.

Let’s pray then that we can learn how to put off laziness so that we “…may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;” Colossians 1:10 (NKJV)

Today’s Prayer:
Dear God, Just for Today, with Your help, I will do my best to use the time You have given me wisely. I will try very hard not to be lazy and waste time.
Teach me what it means “to number my days so that I may gain wisdom” so then I will not be idle, but use my time and energy wisely for You.

Lord, I know You are always at work somewhere, and I want to be working right with You.
So fill me with Your strength, wisdom, and power as I read Your word and put it into practice today. Show me how to walk on Your paths.
Teach me how to live according to Your ways so that I may not waste any of my days being lazy or chasing after anything that is not of You.
Thank You God. Amen.
