Default Just For Today Day 15 Putting Off

Just For Today Day 15 Putting Off by SGLY Ministry

Just for Today I will put off all…PRESUMPTIONS
Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me.
Psalm 19:13 (NKJV)

Today’s Thought
Presumptuous means bold or insolent behavior or manners.
It means to take for granted, assume, or suppose. Presumptuous sins would then be then any action on our part towards God or His word that could be deemed presumptuous.

As believers, we probably don’t act presumptuous regarding God and His word, however, Just for Today let’s focus on this to just make sure we are aware of it and what it is, so if need be can then put off anything that might be considered presumptuous in our life for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6 (NKJV)

Today’s Prayer:

Dear Lord,

Just for Today, keep me from any presumptuous sins.
Keep me from assumptions or incorrect beliefs.
Just for Today let me not to take Your word for granted, but let me stand on what is the truth.
Just for Today, Lord, let me remember who You are and that I should always reverence You and Your name.
Just for Today, Lord, let me not be too bold and forward when it comes to prayer, but to remember as I come before Your Throne boldly, I should do so humbly and reverently with praise and adoration.

I know that I am Your child, so keep me from childish presumptions that would cause me harm spiritually. Help me grow and mature in Your word daily. I want to know Your word and know Your voice so I can avoid any presumptuous sins.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14
