Default Victory Over Worry

VICTORY OVER WORRY

We all have probably worried about something in our lifetime. It may have been our children, our health, finances, etc. Some of us voice our worries while others of us keep all our anxious thoughts inside. Silent worriers are probably a bit worse off than those who continue to voice their worries or concerns because they hold it all in. Either way, worry is not good for us. We can't win when we worry. We need to learn to focus on God and not on the problems in our lives.

Ecclesiastes 10:11 "So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless." (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for Your teachings on worry and anxiety. So many times we spend our days worrying about things that never happen. So many times we worry about tomorrow when we need to be focusing on today. Help us to have victory over worry by giving You all our anxious thoughts and all our issues. Take our lives and remind us daily to give our cares and concerns over to You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

If we want victory over today, we need to stop worrying about tomorrow.

Matthew 6:34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today." (NLT)

If we want victory over our thoughts, we need to turn to Jesus with our worries.

Psalm 139:23 "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts." (NLT)

If we want victory over our emotional health, we need to give our worries to God.

Proverbs 12:25 "Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up." (NLT)

Focus: Worrying can't bring victory in our lives but releasing our worries to God can.
