Default When We Do Wrong

WHEN WE DO WRONG

We all know there are consequences when we choose to do wrong. When we break the law, we could go to jail. When we lie or cheat, we could lose the trust of a good friend. When we abuse our bodies with too much food, alcohol or drugs, we could have health issues. The list goes on and on. The consequences we face from our wrongdoing should be reminders we need to get back on the right path. God allows us choices to do what we want but He wants us to do what is right. And when we do, we will not only be living right for God but we will be a better influence on others.

Proverbs 22:3 "A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences." (NLT)

Dear Lord, show us how to be prudent. Show us what things we need to move away from that could hurt us and others. Reveal to us any sin in our lives so we can turn from it and follow You. We want to know what things we need to stop doing that are wrong in Your eyes. We want to know what things we need to continue doing that bring You pleasure and positively influence others. Guide us today, Lord, to make the right choices. In Jesus' name. Amen.

If we want to make the right choice, we need help from God.

We can go to God to be sure we are taking the next best step in our lives.

Wrong choices can easily turn into something that could harm us or others.

God wants us to go to Him daily to learn what our best choices in life should be.

There will be consequences to our wrong decisions in life. That is why we need God to guide our paths.

Ecclesiastes 10:2 "A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes the wrong one." (NLT)

Focus: Choose the right road. Choose Jesus. He can influence our lives so we can influence others.
