Default Remain In Fellowship

REMAIN IN FELLOWSHIP

With all the distractions and the issues of the world, it takes courage to remain in fellowship with God. But when we do, we will be able to stand proudly before Him knowing we did the right things for Him while we were here on earth. When we remain in fellowship with God, we focus on Him. We spend time with Him. We read His word and use it as a guideline for our lives.

1 John 2:28 “And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we want to remain in fellowship with You. We want to be the person You have created us to be which requires we stay close to You by studying Your word, talking with You and being obedient to You. Show us what part of our lives is not in fellowship with You and help us to rid those things in our lives that keep us from being in complete fellowship with You. Give us courage to do the right thing for You, Lord. In Jesus name. Amen.

Remaining in fellowship with Christ means to give up our worldly ways.

Remaining in fellowship with Christ provides eternal benefits that this world can’t offer us.

Remaining in fellowship with Christ will give us courage to do the right things.

Remaining in fellowship with Christ will allow us to be the person God created us to be.

Remaining in fellowship with Christ will allow Him to give us all we need. And we will know the true God.

1 John 5:20 “And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.” (NLT)
