SHOW LOVE

There is an easy way to get rid of anger. It may not happen overnight as it will take some time to create a new mindset. The easy way is God’s way. When we begin living for God by reading His word, praying and obeying Him, we will find it easier to control our anger. God wants us to replace our anger with love. He wants us to look for ways to help others and share His love with them. God wants us to be like He is and He is love. With practice and daily discipline and by trusting in God, we can get rid of anger.

Ephesians 4:31 “Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we need You. We know You are our only hope to get rid of this anger within us. We don’t know why we have to hold it in. We don’t know why we have to dwell on it. We don’t know why we have to be bitter and angry. Help us to replace our anger with love. Your love. Show us how to be loving rather than hateful. We want to be the person You have called us to be. We want to begin today. Help us, Lord Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We can have better relationships when we show love rather than anger.

We can get rid of the anger in our lives when we trust in God to help us.

When we look to Jesus as an example to follow, we will show love to others rather than anger.

When we put the needs of others before our own needs, we can move past the anger.

Despite what anyone has done to us, it is up to use to choose love rather than anger.

1 Corinthians 13:5b “it (love) is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” (NIV)

Focus: Ask God to reveal any anger in our lives and replace it with His love.
