Default So What Are We Going To Do About It?

SO WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?

When we are encouraged by others we tend to feel better about ourselves. We stand up a little straighter. We feel a little happier. Its a good but temporary feeling. Often, when we are encouraged we feel good for a little while but we soon go back to our routine thoughts that may or may not be so positive. How do we keep that good feeling? When we are encouraged by Gods word or by others, God wants us to stand firm in His grace. We should stay in His word, talk to Him regularly and apply His word to our lives.

1 Peter 5:12b My purpose in writing is to encourage you and assure you that what you are experiencing is truly part of Gods grace for you. Stand firm in this grace. (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for Your forgiveness and mercy. Thank You for Your grace and compassion. We are nothing without You. We need You every minute of every day. Help us remember to be encouraged by Your word when we are alone and starting to feel bad about ourselves. Help us to remember to be encouraged by Your word when we are hearing about all the wrong things in this world. Help us to remember to be encouraged by Your word when it seems no one else truly cares. In Jesus name. Amen.

Encouragement is a free gift we can give and we can receive and there is plenty of it to go around.

We can be encouraged when we stand firm in Gods grace allowing Him to use us according to His plan.

God wants us to be know we can stay encouraged when we focus on Him.

Because of Gods grace, we can live in constant encouragement knowing He will forgive our sins.

We are truly blessed by Gods grace that leads us back to being made right with Him.

Romans 5:16b but Gods free gift (grace) leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. (NLT)

Focus: Because of Gods grace, we can be encouraged knowing He forgives and loves us despite of our past sins.
