Showing Up
And there we are at our first recovery meeting wondering how did I get here.There's probably no doubt we don't even belong at this meeting, and that there's still got to be time for us to figure out our situation on our own. I was told to give the program of recovery a try, and to try to relax, and try not to overthink everything. Just show up and be open to whatever was happening at the meetings. If after doing this for 90 days I still thought I didn't belong and could figure out things on my own that my misery would be gladly refunded.
