Doing the Right Thing

Thought for the Day

"Sometimes we need to step back and not always think of ourselves first. If doing something we want to do might cause harm to someone, how can it be the "right thing" to do? There are times when we might need to give up our desires because pursuing them might not be the "right thing" to do."

Let me always try to do what is right in your eyes, Father, rather than what only benefits me. Let me try to do the "right thing" when I act rather than trying to make up for it later with acts of goodwill that are only meant to atone for wrongs I may have committed. Amen
