1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. - Psalm 91:4

(19) Know this, my dear brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger – (20) for human anger doesn’t produce the righteousness of God. James 1:19-20

By experience I have found this verse to be very true. As the text indicates, the best way to avoid the highly toxic, destructive and regrettable results of hotly expressed anger is to control my tongue and not speak. I have discovered that if I wait until the surge of anger has calmed down or disappeared to respond to high stress and combative situations, the quality of my response is much more productive with less stress and less mess to clean up. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:17-18

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. —Jude 24-25

Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. — Proverbs 17:14

1 Corinthians 2:12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
