Default Lean On God

LEAN ON GOD

Ever been disappointed? It never fails, when we attempt to use our own wisdom or understanding to get something done, we will soon find we don't have all the answers. We won't have all the answers. Only God does. When we humble ourselves before God and lean on Him for His wisdom and understanding, we will know better what to do and when to do it. Why not be sensible and let God guide us rather than attempting things on our own?

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know when we lean on the things of the world to help us make the right choices and decisions, we are going to be led astray. We know when we lean on our own wisdom and understanding, we aren't going to have the complete picture of what we need to do. That is why we need You. That is why we need to lean on You. You have the perfect plan for us in all we do. Guide us today and remind us to lean on You for the right path to take. In Jesus' name. Amen.

When we trust in God and lean on Him, our paths will be where He wants us to go.

When we rely on our own knowledge, we are going to mess up.

When we rely on our own wisdom, we are telling God we know more than He does.

When we rely on our own understanding, we aren't getting the whole picture God has for us.

We can be sensible and rely on God's wisdom or we can be foolish and lean on the world's understanding.

Proverbs 17:24 "Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth." (NLT)

Focus: Forget what the world wants us to do. Lean on God for the right path to take in all we do.
