A big problem for all of us that we'll face when trying to get help for this problem is whose advice we are going to listen to so we can figure out what we can do about having this problem. Some well meaning people who don't have our problem will offer their advice on what works for them when it comes to them dealing with their own problems. This very same advice can spell disaster for those of us who have this problem, and even when we're not exactly sure what our problem is, we know their advice is no good for us. It is usually at this point we don't know who we can turn to for help, become discouraged and then decide not to do anything about having this problem. Fear not, for those of us in recovery can show anyone who has this problem exactly what they can do that will work for them, when it comes to us dealing with this problem. Most of the time what does work for us is contrary to what those who don't have this problem would advise that we do, but what do they really know about when it comes to what it's like to have our problem ? Nothing.
