Default Switching Modes

All of us have come into recovery in survival mode. We all have been in the fight of life, and we've all survived, but this itself is not living, or what life is meant to be for anyone. The hardest thing that any of us will ever do after coming into recovery is to change the way that all of us have had to live. Switching modes is not something that we're all very familiar with, and it takes time for all of us to do this and we'll all need recovery so we can. No one ever said that being in recovery would be easy but it's always worth it because of what recovery can do for all of us and what we all can have if we're willing to do what it takes. The greatest thing that any of us can achieve from being in recovery is being able to live life with all its ups and downs, and for none of us to have to run away no matter what it throws at us. Being in survival mode is what got all of us here and once we're all here it's time for all of us to start to be able to live life with all of its possibilities. We all survived everything that it took to get all of us here and now that we're in recovery we all owe it ourselves and should be willing to give this to ourselves and it's okay if we do. It's time for all of us to start living life and none of us will ever need to waste another moment in just surviving life, because we're all survivors by now, and all of us have already have done that, and because we're all in recovery we can all stop just surviving life and start living it from now on.
