WHAT GOD DOES

As children we can probably all remember how much fun it was to play. We would play pretend games. We would go outside and get dirty playing. We would just do our own thing having fun knowing our parents were nearby watching over us. And when we were done for the day, our parents would feed us, bath us and keep us safe so we could start another day after a good night’s sleep. God is the same way with His children. He watches us do our own thing and when we need cleansing, He does it. And He does it with love. When He is done, He continues to watch over us and keep us safe. What a blessing and privilege it is to be a child of God!

SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 1:3 “The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. List ways God has cleansed you.
2. Write down what you have done and how He has helped.
3. Know God loves you and watches over you.
4. Ask Him to help you to be strong to do only His will every day.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we are so grateful for Your love. We are so appreciative of Your mercy and Your grace. We know we get busy in our own world doing our own thing and we get dirty with sin. We are so blessed that we can come running back to You like a little child so we can become clean again. Help us remember You are ready and willing to forgive us and make us right with You because You love us. And we thank You for all You do even when we don’t deserve it. You are all we need and we praise and honor Your Holy Name. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
God is all we need. He will help and protect us when we feel lost or afraid.

How great is our God that He loves us enough to watch over us and cleanse from our sins every single day!

We should show gratitude to God for all He does because He loves us and cares for us.

We are so blessed God is willing and able to forgive us and cleanse us from our sins.

FOCUS: Colossians 1:22b “As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.” (NLT)
