Default When Change Overwhelms Us

WHEN CHANGE OVERWHELMS US

There are times we resist change. There are times when we are afraid of change. And there are times when we are overwhelmed with change. There will always be change in our lives. There will be times when someone leaves us. There will be times we have to make hard decisions. There will be times when we need to move on. When change overwhelms us, we need to be sure we first go to God. He plans the changes in our lives and knows exactly what we need to do and will give us the strength to do it.

Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we all get comfortable. We all get where we are used to doing things certain ways and don’t want to change. We all have situations in our lives where change is happening right now. Help us to embrace it rather than fight it. Help us to turn to You for guidance rather than being overwhelmed with it. We know You have great plans for us with this change and we submit our lives to You right now to help us through it. And we thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When changes overwhelm us, we need to go to God for direction and peace.

Changes happen every day. We can choose to embrace them and pray or we can choose to be overwhelmed and do nothing.

There is no reason to be overwhelmed with change because God has a plan for us in the midst of that change.

For every change in life, there is a lesson from God. Don’t be overwhelmed and do nothing but instead ask God what to do.

God has a plan and His plans never fail. So we should embrace each change in our lives knowing God is in control.

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (NLT)

Focus: God’s plans require taking action when changes happen so we can share His word with others and give glory to His name.
