I was on Naltrexone in pill form and it worked ok when I remembered to take them. I did drink on it one time and my body felt the effects of the whiskey but my mind stayed clear. It did what it was supposed to do, blocked the receptors in my brain.
Doc suggested the shots that I came in once a month for. I was on it for a bit over a year and I did stay sober. I have stayed sober now for a little over 5 1/2 years this run. The Naltrexone did help me.
