Asking for additional prayers for my son. He has gone through a week of intense migraines from an infected tooth. He went to a dentist in a clinic yesterday, they tried to pull the tooth and because it was so rotted, it split and they couldn't get it all out. Having no money, planning to go back to Vancouver on Tuesday, he is talking suicide.

It is really difficult to watch him be in so much pain. Have tried several home remedies, and they don't give any relief to the pain, certainly not an instant fix.

Clinics are all closed on the weekend, and he has already been to the hospital 3 times. He says, "They don't do him any good, all they do is give him more pills," even the morphine they gave him last time, doesn't work.

So sorry to hear about your son Jo. I will be keeping him in my prayers.

Learned last night he isn't leaving until tomorrow morning. Yesterday, he said, "I am not sure I made the right decision." He bought the ticket and it isn't refundable. He enjoyed Vancouver when he was there before. He said he came home because he was homesick. He hates this city. He hasn't come to realize that wherever he goes, he take himself with him.

Continued prayers please. He got his cheque today, so he is in God's Hands, he has a choice, use, throw his ticket away, or go on the bus with no money. It does make me sad. All I can do is pray.

Requesting healing prayers for my blood pressure. My doctor ordered new fluid pills and doubled my blood pressure medication from 5 mg. to 10, and it hasn't kicked in yet. It has been up and down between 170 to 190 since the change in medication.

The Holistic Center gave me pressure point to work on and physio has given me exercises to help with the swelling and blockages as a result of the neuropathy in my feet. I have the name of two things to pick up at the health food store, but depends on the cost.

It is very much a day at a time. I believe your prayers have been helping. I was diagnosed with C.O.P.D. and went to a specialist and he said my longs are clear and my breathing is normal. I went to the Neurologist and he said my iron was low, said he would put a referral in to my doctor to put me on iron. My doctor drew 8 vials of blood and he said they were normal and there was nothing wrong with my iron level. Sound like an answer to pray to me. Between prayers at the holistic Center, online prayer circles, and a private prayer circle, it looks like God still wants me around for a little while longer.

I don't like it when they add another pill or increase the amount of another and think they are going to t all better. The doctor hasn't been willing to talk about coming of the Lyrica, but seeing as this problem as surface since he increased the dosage, I am going to decrease it.

An old post:

That space for me is the gift of recovery and what recovery is all about. That moment in time which allows us to say "yeah" or "nay" and gives us the freedom of choice as to which direction we choose in today. Just for today, I choose not to use.

Hugs not drugs for me!

Thanks everyone. I had a very pleasant surprise this morning. Both hips and my left knee were out, so phoned the chiropractor, got a treatment at 10:45 a.m. and took the bus down to the mall. Took my blood pressure and it was down to 143 and 134. It was a big thank you God, and I thank you all for your prayers. When I came home, I checked it this afternoon, and it was 132.

Talked to my sister Margaret's husband this morning and he said they did some tests on her, and they aren't sure, she has to go back next week to see if she had a mini stroke or a reaction to new medication. I would appreciate prayers for her.

She is not sure if she re-injured her spine a couple of weeks ago, so she may have a blockage, it all may step from when she fell and broke her back.

My son is working part time and living in a shelter. He still refuses to go into recovery and that is his choice.

Life is a daily prayer putting him into God's hands, and me put me into God's Hands so I don't put my hands on my son.

Prayer please for my friend Bert. He received the results of his operation today and he had a low grade cancer. They removed the growth and he has to go back for follow up in March. Please join me in prayer that they got it all and pray for his continued health and well being as he had a difficult time going through this.

Want to thank everyone who sent out prayers for my friend Bert. He went for a check up and got the results yesterday and he is cancer free.
