Default It is time

It is time by Alive to God

Moving on and stepping into the future is not always easy. It is, however, a very important part of what God has in store for each one of us. There is a time for remembering but then there is a time to say: ‘Thus far the Lord has been good and He has brought us this far, but there is more.’

The past can be our biggest stumbling block (both success and failure) and it can also be our biggest building block. Moving can involve many different things. It can include a new season, a new dimension or a new chapter. Moving on inevitably involves change. Change is what scares most people into complacency. But it is change and a ‘moving forward’ attitude that takes us into what God has for us!

The time is right for this to begin to take place. There is no time like the present. I once heard someone give an example, which I have called ‘the 2 chairs example’. Life is like traveling between 2 chairs. The chairs are just too far apart to be able to be held simultaneously. If we hold onto the one we cannot reach the other. We have to let go of the one and step forward until we reach the next chair. The longer we hold onto the one the less chance we have of grabbing hold of the next chair. In the book of Ecclesiastes it speaks of certain positives and negatives regarding time. Let us look for a moment at the positive aspects.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is a right time for everything: A time to be born; A time to plant; A time to harvest; A time to heal; A time to rebuild; A time to laugh; A time to dance; A time for gathering stones; A time to hug; A time to find; A time for keeping; A time to repair; A time to speak up; A time for loving; A time for peace.

I believe that we are living in a time when it is a time to build and take new territory and ground.

Isaiah 54:2-3 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, for you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
