Default Are you searching for contentment?

Are you searching for contentment?
"My people have...forsaken...the...living water, and...dug ...broken cisterns."
Jeremiah 2:13 NIV

It's easy to feel good about life when it's all going as planned... but we all know that don't always happen, right? The Bible talks about "being happy at anytime in everything'...coz basically if you wait about for your life to happen the way you want it to, you will be hangin' about for ages! A clever geezer once said: "don't mess up what you have by wanting what you don't have". So remember these 3 things:
1). Enjoy what God's already given you...try not to be greedy...be satisfied where you're at...its good to have goals and dreams but learn to enjoy the journey on the way to those dreams!!
2). Don't be scared!! Fear wants you to run from something that's not actually chasing you...being scared can steal your peace...will have you thinking "what if" and will stop you trusting in God...Psalm 56:4 says "in God I trust, I will not be scared"....when you really get that in your heart you can fully chill with God.
3) Don't look in the wrong places!! That verse at the top is basically saying that God's people were seriously on the wrong track...going the wrong way...relying on the wrong things...if we rely on ourselves we are doing just the same as them and will end up on the wrong track. Let's take up a dare today and rely on Jesus!!

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
