WE ARE GOD’S TREASURE

Treasure is defined as something we keep carefully. It is something we cherish and hold dearly. It is also defined as something of quantity as metal, gold or other valuable objects. However, God says we are His own special treasure. We are who He holds dearly and cherishes. He does not treasure objects. He treasures us. And because He does treasure us. He wants us to love Him. He wants us to succeed. He wants us to have a relationship with Him. That is why He sent Jesus. Because when we believe in Jesus and ask Him into our hearts, our sins are forgiven and we are able to have a right relationship with God and truly know Him.

Deuteronomy 7:6 “For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, thank You for treasuring us. Thank You for creating us. Thank You for Jesus who came to save us. We don’t deserve Your love, Your forgiveness or Your Sacrifice of Your only Son. But we know You do it because You treasure us and love us. And we thank You. Help us to live the life You want us to live and remember all day long that we are Your own special treasure. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We are God’s own special treasure and that is something to get excited about.

God wants us to love Him as our Father, our God and our Creator.

God treasured us enough to create us, forgive us and love us despite what we do.

What more can God do to show His love for us? Nothing. If we want to know His love, we are the ones who need to take action.

No one loves us as God does. No one.

John 3:16-17 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” (NLT)

Focus: Despite what is going on in our lives today, God treasures and love us. We are special.
