The one constant by Alive to God

In all this change that so surrounds every aspect of our lives, we often long for something constant. I was speaking to a lady the other day. Her life had been on a bit of a roller-coaster ride. She said how she longed for her life just to plateau out.

Although we long for progress and forward movement, at the same time we seem to want things to stay the same. This is because within each one of us is a longing for the constant. This longing can and should only be satisfied in our relationship with God. God is the only constant that we can hold onto.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

John 8:58 Jesus said, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I am.

The challenge is to live with flexibility in our hearts while holding onto the One who never changes!
