FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
If we want to truly bring joy to God, we need to be obedient to Him. He gives us the ingredients for a good life. He tells us how to obey Him and what to do to bring Him glory. If we want to bring glory to God, we should strive to live as He calls us to live. Our lives should show love to others, promote peace, encourage patience, kindness and goodness. We should be faithful in all things. Show gentleness and self-control. We can bring glory to God by obeying Him and allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us.
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we want to bring You glory. We want to be obedient to You. We want to live as You have called us to live. We know we mess up every day. We then to do things our way rather than Yours. Help us to remember the kinds of fruits You want in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Remind us daily these are our instructions for being a godly example to others and for bringing You glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we are obedient to God, we can give Him glory in all we do.
God wants us to allow His fruit of love and joy and peace in our lives so we can bring Him glory.
When we are patient with others, we can show them God’s love.
Goodness and gentleness go a long way in building relationships so we can share God’s word with others.
Having faithfulness in our lives and self-control will help us stay disciplined to obey God.
Romans 1:13b “I want to work among you and see spiritual fruit, just as I have seen among other Gentiles.” (NLT)
Focus: When we step out with the Fruits of the Spirit in our lives, others can see Jesus in us and we bring glory to God.
