Hope to go to my sister's but just talked to her today and she has to go for a stress test next week. She has been having chest pains and if they last any longer than 15 min. after taking her medication, she is suppose to go to the hospital.

I would appreciate you keeping her in your prayers.

Talked to my sister this evening. She said that they found 5 blockages in her heart, two veins to thin, because of diabetes, to put in stints. They may have to do heart bypass. She is on an urgent heart list and waiting to hear from a heart surgeon.

I would appreciate your continued prayers.

Thanks for asking Tammy. I hadn't heard from her this week, so called today and she said she is just trying not to do anything that will stress her out. She almost went into the hospital last night, but nitro patch and inhaler helped settle the pain.

She sees her heart specialist next week, but no word yet from surgeon.

Continued prayers are appreciated.

My sister went to see her doctor yesterday. She was told that if she didn't hear from the surgeon or her office by Tuesday, to call her office again and they will try to get her in for surgery in the next two weeks.

Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Just got a call from my sister. She went into the hospital last night because she had chest pain. The surgeon who was suppose to operate on her is in North Bay on a seminar; and won't be able to get here for the operation. Another doctor is operating on her on Sunday. I hope to go see her tomorrow of it isn't snowing. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Thanks Tammy. Prayer are appreciated. She was told that two valves were operable and one was kind of iffy.

Called my sister to say goodnight and she let me know that she is being operated on Thursday. They have moved her to another floor and she will be there until she goes for her operation. Then she will be removed to recovery and from there, she is not sure. I told her that it sounded like she was bed hopping.

Thanks Tammy and Jan. I just talked to my brother-in-law. He said she was doing better than he expected. She said he was worrying more than she was. Personally, I believe it is the power of prayer. Apparently she has been out of bed and sitting on a chair, so that is good.

I need a few prayers myself as I am dealing with a major resentment because he or his three daughters never called me and updated me. He said she was in ICU and that it was for family only and they had it covered. She is suppose to go to Step Down, whatever that is, and more or less implied it was part of ICU and I had to wait until she went back on the ward. I wanted to say, "What am I chopped liver? I am her sister."

Thanks for all your prayers.

Just got a call from my sister tonight. She is going home tomorrow afternoon. She has a 4" and an 18" scar on her legs after her heart surgery.

They are very pleased at how well she is doing. I reminded her that a lot of people were praying for her.

Thank you all for your contributions.

My sister didn't come home until today. She called me while I was out shopping. Her blood pressure went up, so they kept her another day.

Your continued prayers would be appreciated. She is doing much better than the doctor's thought she would. To have a triple by-pass and be out of the hospital in 5 days is quite a feat. As my friend use to say, "That's not odd, that's God.!"

Thank you all for your prayers for my sister. She called me today and woke me up, for which I was glad. Yesterday she went to Bible Study, tomorrow she is having lunch with her mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and an aunt of her husband. Friday she gets the staples out of the surgical wounds in her legs.

So it would seem she is getting better and I know it is a result of prayer. She said today that if she had more to do on this world and God wasn't finished with her she would be grateful, if it was her time to go, she was ready.

Talked to my sister last night and she informed me that she had gone out for lunch in this cold and had pains in her chest. I can't believe she would do such a thing. I cancelled my chiropractor's appointment today because they still have a weather warning out because of the cold. I went out yesterday using Darts to go and a taxi to come back and all I had to do was go from the door to the vehicle. Even then it was cold, and have had chest pains yesterday and today.

I hadn't heard from her so picked up the phone. She said she had a couple of stitches that were infected and she was on antibiotics. To hear her, she was just fine when I talked to her last Thursday. We know what fine means, perhaps I should enlighten her. F.I.N.E. Frustrated, Insecure, Neurotic, and Enjoying it. That is the polite version, it still works. Some say "Emotional" but we can be that every day. So often we enjoy sitting in our stuff, we get more attention that way or we don't want to admit to what is happening in the moment and put on a false brave front, for whatever reason.

Went to the hospital today and had to wait for her to come back from an MRI. She was not good this morning. She was nauseated and not in a good place.

The are trying to stabilize her medication. They are trying to get rid of the fluid in her lungs and giving her lots lof fluids and on the other hand, giving her a diaretic. She was heavily sedated and just opened her eyes for a moment, don't know if she will remember me being there. It was almost not worth getting gowned and gloved up, but I wanted to see her. I should have waited until later to go, but don't like leaving it too late in the day to get back home.

My son would never be able to go in and see her, while she is hooked uo to all the tubes and looks so bad. I know he would just lose it. She looked worse today than when I saw her the other day.

Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Found out last night that they found bacteria in an IV and they had to change her antibiotics. Today she is not totally relying on oxygen, and better able to breathe on her own. Your prayers are appreciated. We can do what I can't do alone.

Thank you Dave and Tammy. I went in to see her today. I didn't wake up with the sore throat, even so, I wore a mask to go in to see her. She looked better than she did last week. They still have a tube down her throat and she isn't liking it. They figure in a couple of days she will be able to come off the oxygen to breathe on her own, so prayer is working.

All prayers are appreciated.

Thank you, she did not have a good day today. I really don't think the doctors know what to do about her. I can only see God's Grace and healing power as a solution to her recovery. She does have pneumonia and they are trying to get the fluid off her lungs and trying to get her off the oxygen so she can be mobile.

I don't think I slept, laid down at 8 p.m. and looked at the clock again and it was 8:31 p.m. I have been fighting pain all night and I have done meditation, watched tennis, talked on the phone and with my son. Her blood pressure and pulse were up. I asked about it and they said they had her on medication by IV.

Went to see my sister today, she is much more lucid and she was able to smile at her daughter's antics. My error, I misunderstood my niece, she is still being fed by IV.

I didn't stay too long, even though I covered up and wore a mask, I didn't want to give her anything or pick up anything that will make my situation worse. I will be glad when I get the results of my tests. I haven't wanted to stay away, but I have had to be cautious and only go when I am feeling good. I go up there and when I come home I crash. So I would appreciate continued prayers for her and her family.

This is exactly how I have been feeling.

She is much more bright eyes and she is off all narcotics. I think they are taking the tube out of her throat tomorrow, not sure if it is that for the feeding tube, more will be revealed. The nursing staff is amazed at how far she has come. I told them it was an answer to prayer.

Thanks everyone. I went to see my sister for about two hours today. She is sitting up and can talk, they are removing the last of the tubing tomorrow and depending on test results, she will be going home Monday or Tuesday. The staff are really surprised at how well she has done. Sadly, the words I am hearing from my sister are, "I am a strong woman, I...." It made me sad. Didn't hear much about through God, I have healed and through His Love and Care, I am doing better.

Phoned my sister the other day and she didn't have time to talk because she had 22 kids in her day care. She said, "It is okay, I am not lifting the kids." Another day I phoned only to find that she had a rash around the incision in her throat from the bandaging they used.

I worried that when she got home she wouldn't have proper care and she wouldn't take care of herself, because I wasn't too sure anyone else would be there to do it. A lot of attention when she was in the hospital.

I got a call from her today to say that she has got infection in her toe, where the infection started that landed her in the hospital in the first place. She said, "Hopefully, this time we caught in time."

Please continue prayers for her, even if it is to pray for her to practice some self-care.

Just talked to my sister this morning. Her toe is still infected and she thinks she has the shingles. I said, "Have you been to the doctor's?" She said, "No, but I have to make an appointment." She had been waiting for someone to take her. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. Everyone else is too sick or too busy. She doesn't drive, so she is dependant on others because she lives in the country, but she is a great one for putting things off and putting others first to her own detrement. Not sure that is spelled right, but it still means, that she gets sicker and sicker, and that is how she got into the hospital the last time.

Talked to my sister last week when she said that her toe was still infected. I said, "Get to the doctor's!!!"

She phoned me today to say that she had been to a health clinic, but never saw her doctor. She is on the fair board and she informed me that she had worked there for two hours and had to be taken to the hospital. She is on more antibiotics. My son said, "She is stubborn just like you Mom." I can't see my heart, I can just feel it go boom once in a while. She can see her toe and know it is infected. She was in the hospital for 8 weeks before, she knows where this can take her if she doesn't take care of herself. She also says that she thinks she has shingles. The clinic said it was pulled muscle. She said that the pain was much more than that. Even after all that, if her treatment by a VON is over by Sunday, she wants to go up and see our aunt who is celebrating 100 years. I think her toe is more important. There is no reason why she can't wait another week.

Just got word that my sister is back in the hospital. She has a red lump on the calf of her leg, so it looks like the infection is back even though she said it is only 2 weeks since she was off antibiotics.

They are puzzled about the pain she has had in her rib area and her skin hurts to touch. I sounds like Polymyalgia, something I was diagnosed with many years ago when I was diagnosed with the Fibromyalgia. Your skin hurts to touch and it hurts to have clothes and bedding touch your body. She is like me and can't take arthritis medication. She is worse than me, she is allergic to just about everything.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. I talked to my sister tonight. She was sent home today and will be having home care. There will be a nurse come in every two days to change the bandages and she will be getting antibiotics fed to her interveniously.

They say they don't know if it is Osteomyolitis (not sure of the spelling), more tests are being done and she has to go to the hospital on Monday. A resident told her that she looked to healthy to be up walking the halls and occupying a bed.

She was in ICU for two months, and now she was back in for 6 days. Hospitals don't keep people in a hospital bed for two days as a rule, so hopefully they will find a solution soon.

Got a couple of calls from my sister today to say that she was in the hospital. She informed me that she went in on Tuesday and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and has been on oxygen since. When she called me today, she said that she felt better today that she has in months. She will be kept in the hospital until she can breathe on her own without the oxygen.

She called me back to say that she was told that once you were diagnosed with congestive heart failure, you never got rid of it. I sensed some fear in her. I told her that I was diagnosed with it over 10 years ago. I didn't say, and I am still kicking, because lately, I haven't been kicking too high.

Your prayers for her would be appreciated. I told her that I would send her healing thoughts and prayers. I ask you to continue your support with love and understanding, it is one day at a time.

Thank you both. She said she was feeling better than she has felt for months. Today she was being sent down for a MRI and other tests. She phoned to say she might not be around if I went this afternoon. I was out and too fatigued to see her tonight.

Went to see my sister this evening. She is going home tomorrow. She looked the best I've seen her in months. I got the sense that she had a certain amount of peace with in her. I showed in her eyes.

Hope you will continue prayers for her.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. My sister had a procedure done yesterday, and they put a camera up a vein to check the stints in her heart. She is to go later and get a camera put down her throat to check out her stomach.

Her toe is still not completely healed.

Your prayers are appreciated.

Jo I will also pray along with the others here for your sister Lyn

Peace

My son called me this morning to say that he had talked to his uncle and my sister is back in the hospital. They didn't know what the problem was.

I called later today and found out that she has an infection, they don't think it is her toe, but the don't know the source.

I have a chiropractor's appointment tomorrow and plan to go to the hospital to see her.

Your prayers would be appreciated.

Went to see my sister today. Her infection is in her blood, which I believe to be quite serious. They have put her on a new antibiotic. She has the same doctor as she had when she was in ICU before.

Thank you for your prayers.

Went to see her after a noon meeting today. She had a bad cough, and I didn't want to get close as she has a blood infection. They say when they can get the infection cleared up, they will do surgery on her gall bladder, which they think is the source for all her problems.

Your prayers are appreciated.

Didn't go up to see her as it was pouring rain. I haven't heard from anyone. I have my home group tomorrow. I will see how I feel when I get home. If the weather is clear, I will take a trip up the Hamilton mountain to see her. They call it a mountain, in comparison, it is a molehill. I big cliff that have road built up the side of it. Big enough to hurt if you fall off of it. It just isn't a mountain to me, my imagination doesn't stretch that far.

Thank you for your prayers.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. I got a call from my sister about half an hour before I was due to get picked up by Darts. She was going to have a test at noon and be moved to another ward. I hope the new one is quieter. I would have gone insane if I had to be where she was before, just 2 2 noisy.

She phoned while I was sleeping to give me her new ward number. They are also going to do further testing on the toe that hasn't healed properly and was her problem before.

Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Didn't get out to see my sister as I was sick myelf. I phoned my brother-in-law today and he said that she had been having tests and they were doing some things with her blood. She called me at 4:30 p.m. to say that they were going to send her home when they get her stablized and then a nurse would go in to see her each day to give her antibiotics until they could get it corrected and then they will do the gall bladder operation.

Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Thank you both. I talked to her today. She got moved again to another room, so it doesn't sound like she is going home. The have to put a stint, not sure that is how it is spelled in her toe, I think. It is suppose to be clear tomorrow, so hope to go up to see her, going to aim for my Al-Anon meeting after I go to the library tomorrow morning.

All will depend on my body and whether it will co-operate. The bus does a real number on my body, and the bus that I use quite regularly is not in service during the summer, so it will mean more steps for me.

At least if she goes home, I can take Darts to go out and see her.

My sister went home yesterday. Her husband picked her up about 2 p.m. yesterday. A nurse will be coming by daily to fix her antibiotics which she is getting fed interveniously. They have to get rid of the infection before they can operate to remove her gall bladder. She also has a bone infection in her toe, it has not completely healed since she was in ICU last fall.

My sister called me this morning at 10 a.m. as I was leaving to go to the doctor's office. I told her that I would call her when I got home. I didn't call until 9:45 p.m.

She had to go to ER because her intervenes leaked and she had to have it put in properly. She got a call this afternoon that they couldn't come as scheduled and won't be there until Saturday morning. I hope they don't make a habit of that.

Thank you for your prayers, they are appreciated.

My sister called me today. I realized she was telling me the same thing over again that she told me yesterday or earlier today, I am not sure. I just checked my post at it was 10:43 p.m., I knew I had heard what she was telling me before, but with my pain and the way my head has been, I wasn't sure. ;)

They didn't come until this afternoon instead of coming this morning. There was a miscommunication between Health Care, doctor, and hospital.

Your prayers are appreciated.

Got a call from my sister today. She is in the hospital again. She phoned earlier in the week to say she had bronchitis and phoned tonight to say she was in the hospital and has been there since Thursday. She is bringing up blood, so it doesn't sound good. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

Your prayers for my sister are appreciated.

I just got a call from my sister an hour ago, and she is back in the hospital. She went into ER yesterday, and she is still there waiting for a bed in ICU. She doesn't know what is causing her to have the shakes. When she had them before she had pneumonia. She figures her kidneys are function properly.

She was doing some Christmas baking. She said, "Am I suppose to sit on a chair and do nothing?" I suggested that she trade off with someone else from the church to do the Christmas baking. It is enough to do it for her babysitting clients and family.

Prayers please for my sister. She fell and chipped the bone in her knee and has to wear a splint for 5 days. She can't bend her knee. I told her "What next!" My son says, "She has been in every hospital in Hamilton, which is 4. I think she has been in 3. ;) I told her to keep the splint on to do what she needs to do, not take it off because it has 5 Velcro fastenings to do what she wants to do.
