God wants you to know that ... to burn out the pain, just find a place filled with joy.

God created joy as a balm for pain. What are some places, who are some people filled with joy that you can rely on to ease your pain?

God wants you to know that ... when an impossible must happen, put it on God's to-do list.

Well, if you can't make it happen, and no one else can, there is only thing left to do, - finally look up and trust in God to make it right.

God wants you to know that ... true faith flowers from and through doubt.

If you never questioned your beliefs, - you are just a puppet dancing to somebody's strings. If God had wanted your mindless obedience, you would've been created without mind and without free will. But you have both so you can come to God of your own accord. Just look at the lives of saints, - most of them had gone through a dark night of the soul, and that's why their faith was so strong. The path to true faith always goes through doubt. So ask those questions you've always been afraid to ask, and find the answers, and then your faith will become unshakable.

God wants you to know that ... a new beginning is always possible.

Let the greening of the Earth in springtime be a sign for you that a new beginning is always possible, even after the longest, coldest, darkest winter.

God wants you to know that ... every little thing is a miracle.

Miracles do not come with bright lights and fancy stages. Those belong in a magic show. If you want a miracle, you can see it everywhere - in dew drops, in waves, and of course in yourself.

God wants you to know that ... you don’t need to defeat anyone to get ahead.

The road to success becomes simpler when you realize that there is no one in your way. It may be clever to know how to beat your opponents. But it is wise to know that you don’t have to.

If you expect trouble, trouble will hurry to your door. Look for grace.

God demands the totality of your being. That you invest all of yourself into celebrating the glory and the preciousness of being alive right now, no holding back and saving for later.

Trying to force life to unfold faster than it is meant to is futile. Call forth your patience, and let it move at its own pace.

Let yourself be filled. There is much joy and beauty in the world if you only open yourself to it.

Take a moment to pause, to think, to reflect and to pray. Only then will you be able to get the right perspective on the people and things in your life.

There is no need for you to go it alone. There are people who love you, and who are ready to give you much needed support. There are even more, - way more than you can possibly imagine, people who CAN love you if you give them a chance. Make 'share joy, half the sorrow' your motto for today.

God wants you to know that ... suffering is just as important as well-being.

Like a tree accepts all seasons, accept your suffering with grace. Good days, like sunshine, will help you bloom and prosper. Hard days, like storms, will make you strong and resilient.

When you work too much without interspersing some play into your day, you lose your vitality. Play keeps your heart light and your spirit lively.

God wants you to know that ... if you feel too busy, you are.

Give yourself permission to be un-busy. Give yourself an hour or a day to simply be. Allow yourself the luxury of a small retreat. Allow your spirit time to be restored. Even God took a day of rest.

Prayers are not like shopping lists with items that can be ticked off. If you remember that a prayer is a conversation with God, you will see God respond every day.

When you want the world to change, lead by example, and others are sure to follow.

God wants you to know that ... you are beautiful.

Mirrors are fickle, a play of light and shadow. The only true mirror is within yourself. Clear your mind of doubt and prejudice, and you will see yourself as God sees you - beautiful.

God wants you to know that ... you can't hide your shortcomings from God.

Failures, weaknesses, and fears; God knows them all. Many people attempt to hide issues from God, but it is futile.

God wants you to know that ... illness is often a sign that there are needs you are not taking care of.

Sometimes your body gets sick so that you are forced to slow down and become aware of the messages of your heart and the desires of your spirit. Only when you step outside from the daily treadmill, can you attune to these more subtle inner callings. Don’t wait to get sick before listening to these important inner messages.

October 31

God wants you to know that ... animals and children can be incredible role models.

Even 'roll models'. Watch them as they roll around on the grass, scratching their backs, feet gleefully kicking up in the air. Notice the freedom they enjoy and the obvious joy they feel in that freedom. This freedom is very important for adults, too. Don't get stuck in ruts of seriousness. Let your wild spirit run free once in a while.
