Default Move Forward

Move Forward
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
(Isaiah 43:18–19, ESV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Oftentimes, people get stuck in life because they’ve been hurt or betrayed, and they end up settling where they are. They allow the disappointment to keep them from the divine appointment. Don’t let that be you! Don’t let what somebody did or didn’t do for you be an excuse to live sour. Don’t let a bad break, a divorce, a betrayal or a bad childhood cause you to settle where you are. Move forward and God will pay you back. Move forward and God will vindicate you. Move forward and you’ll come into a new beginning.

Nothing that has happened to you is a surprise to God. The loss of that loved one didn’t catch God off guard. The business that didn’t make it, the relationship that didn’t work out did not stop God’s plan for your life. Now, the real question is: are you going to get stuck, fall into self-pity, become bitter, let the past poison your future? Or, are you going to shake it off and move forward knowing that your best days are still up ahead?
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for being my vindicator. Thank You for making the wrong things right in my life. I know that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf, and I will move forward in the blessing You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Was just sharing with a friend the other day, about old things may no longer serve me in today. Not just old, old things, but things I thought and did last week. This is a one day at a time program. Everything is subject to change, especially when I look at it through the 5 As, Awareness that I have an issue, Admit to my God, myself and another the nature of my wrong, Accept what is, know that that is where I am in today and that is okay, because it is subject to change, Action, taking action by calling my sponsor, going to a meeting, making the decision to take a time out and have a wee talk with my God, just do what needs to be done and ask myself, what is a priority here? My sobriety and my personal contact with the God of my understanding. Attitude, In my case, always subject to change. It is about me and my attitude, it isn't about the other person. As it says in the Big Book, "...sufficient change to bring about recovery."

Things that don't work out or didn't work out the way I wanted to it, generally became a life lesson. It isn't about trying and failing, it is about letting go and trying again, my God's will, NOT mine.
